Supplementary post to “How I Got Into….Mathematics”

Last night I posted about an inspirational Maths teacher who changed the course of my life.

And that reminded me of the following monologue from Keith Olberman, formerly of ESPN. In Britain, we don’t get to see much US sports broadcasting, so I only found Keith Olberman through the podcast of his daily ESPN programme a couple of years ago. I’ve enjoyed his enthusiasms and cynicisms. and particularly his joy in the use of language.

And this clip gives an idea of where that came from, a moving tribute to how a teacher can be memorable and inspirational.
